San Francisco Bay refers to low estuary in California. It is engaged in the task of drainage of water from California. The water thus drained is passed into the Pacific Ocean. The area in which the estuary is located is called as the San Francisco Bay Area or simply the Bay Area. Golden Gate is the major tourist spot in the bay area. Right from 2013, the bay enjoys the status of being a Wetland of International Importance. It is worth noting that this bay is the largest Pacific estuary in the Americas.
