Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa district in Arizona, located in the Salt Valley or Valley of the Sun. It lies next to the Greater Phoenix Area. The city is 31 miles in length and 11.4 miles in width. Tonto National Forest also lies at the border of the city. The city got its name after the name of its originator Winfield Scott. The city is divisible into four segments. These are South, Central, North Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale. The city is known for its luxury homes all over the world. It is popularly referred to as "The West's Most Western Town.
