Paterna is a municipality located in the province of Valencia. It is 5 kilometers towards the north-western part of Valencia. The industrial area came up in the 20th century. It generated huge demand for labor in Paterna. The main festival of Paterna is La Corda. It is an an event taking place in the morning followed by the last Sunday in August. This is basically a pyrotechnic event. It takes place on the main streets of Paterna . There are shooters led by fireworks.
