Rougiers is a city in the south-eastern France. It is located in the Var subdivision in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur district. The city covers an area of 20.53 sq.km for its expansion. The city was once the place of prominent medieval excavations by Gabrielle Demians d’Archimbaud. He was the French archaeologist. There are vineyards and cultivated lands all around the Rougiers. It is situated towards north of the forests of St. Baume, Rougiers. It is totally a tranquil village. The village retains and preserves its rural values and character till date. It is also an important archaeological site right from last 8 years. The excavations at this place explain about the rural houses of the middle ages.
