Ponteves is a town in south-eastern France. It is located in the Var section of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur district. The town covers an area of 41.07sq.km for its expansion. The distance between Ponteves and the Var Capital Toulon is 49km. It is a small but beautiful village and hence attracts tourists automatically. The city is also close to Barjols. It overlooks the massive plains. It offers an awestruck view of the surroundings. Houses from 16th, 17th and 18th centuries are still preserved in the village. Also you can find remnants from a feudal castle. From this castle, the town allows visitors to have an amazing view of the plains. The landscape of the town is defined by a lonely massif called as Bessillons that lies close to the Provence. The major economic activities in the city include breeding of silk worms, wine cellars and manufacturing of the tiles. Also tourism industry is gradually developing here.
