Mazaugues is a village in the south-eastern France. It is situated in the Var subdivision of the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’ Azur area. It is spread over an area of 53.79sq.km. It is worth noting that Mazaugues is sluggish little village. It is located in the Var hills on the base of the Caramy River. Since it is a small village therefore it is very easy to explore it completely. There are numbers of interesting things in the village. Owing to its unique location in the valley, the village has a dark tone. There are small streets and old doorways in the village that keep the visitors captivated for long time. Mazaugues used to be a centre of ice making in the historical times. There is also an amazing ice museum in the village. The name of the village has been derived from the Provencal word ‘maougo’. The basic meaning of this term is ‘mass of air’. The fresh air and the natural scenic beauty at the outskirts of the village justify its name. The village is surrounded by extremely high hills.
