Westpunt town is located in the in the north-western corner of the Curacao Islands. This area of the country contains some of the most stunning beaches of the island. There is a village also with the same name in the region. The coastline of this region is rugged with cliffs formed with limestone. These cliffs are set upon volcanic rocks which have formed from eons-old volcanic eruptions. There are many small villages all along the northern coast. You may also see many ‘landhuis’ buildings in this region. These are the famous old plantation houses of the country. The beaches of this region are generally rocky and full of pebbles.
