Parbhani is the area in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Parbhani, in the past known as "Prabhavatinagar". Parbhani has its partake in Hindu mythology. The Hindu holy person who is thought to be the rebirth of the God Dattatraya in Hindu mythology, Shri Shirdi Saibaba was said to be conceived in this region at a place called Pathri - around 40 km from Parbhani.Pilgrimage tourism in Parbhani locale includes going to the different sanctuaries arranged here.A number of these temples are ancient constructs, such as the 900 year old 'Shree Mudgaleshwar Temple' at the bank of Godavari River, Jain Pilgrimage in Jintur, Mrityunjaya Pardeshwar Temple(Mercury Shivalinga) etc. These temples are visited by a number of devotees from near and far. Apart from these temples, there is also a place of Muslim worship, namely The Syed Shah Turabul Haque Dargah, found located in Parbhani district.
