The city of Bijapur was known as Vijaypura or the city of victory in antiquated circumstances and was established by the Chalukyas between the tenth and the eleventh hundreds of years. The name experienced the present state amid the reign of the Adil Shah tradition in the fourteenth century amid which the city's most critical landmarks were assembled.
